The local Complete Count Committee, a joint-effort between Fairview and Wood Village, will sponsor the first night of the 9th annual Los Posadas celebrations at Wood Village Baptist Church. The Los Posadas organizers are focused on the importance of civic engagement for the Latino Community, particularly around being counted in the 2020 Census. The City of Wood Village is 46.5% Latino.
On December 17, 2019 Los Posadas will begin at 6pm with a candle Light procession walking from Wood Village Green to Wood Village Baptist Church. The evening will include a community meal and a joint reflection by Mayor Cooper, City of Fairview and Mayor Harden, City of Wood Village.

Therefore, we have a duty to offer the highest level of service we can provide. An accurate count helps to ensure that we have the necessary resources."
Fairview and Wood Village’s local Complete Count Committee has started to meet on a monthly basis to coordinate efforts to count every person during the 2020 Census. The Decennial Census is the one time each decade that both cities will have the chance to get an accurate count of their populations.
